About
A small studio that behaves like a reliable supplier.
Founded in 2019 in Bilston, West Midlands. Senior crews, fixed prices, files you can find again in five years.
The studio
We started because good films kept dying in bad process.
Most of our founding team came out of agency production, where we watched genuinely good films arrive six weeks late, over budget, with usage rights nobody could explain and rushes on a drive somebody had taken home.
Stories by Vision was built to fix that half of the job. The creative work is the point, but the reason clients come back is that the schedule held, the price didn't move, and they own everything at the end of it.
We work in small senior crews — usually three to five people who have each done the job for a decade — rather than large teams of juniors. It costs about the same, moves faster on set, and puts fewer strangers in your building.
We are based in Bilston and work across Birmingham, London and the wider UK most weeks, and internationally several times a year.

Process
The six steps, in more detail.
This is the same sequence on every engagement, from a single product film to a multi-market campaign.
01
Discovery
A 30-minute call to establish what the film must do, who it must convince and where it will live. No pitch theatre.
02
Proposal
A fixed-price proposal with scope, crew, schedule and deliverables inside three working days. What you sign is what you pay.
03
Pre-production
Treatment, shot list, locations, talent, permits and a call sheet everyone has read before anyone picks up a camera.
04
Production
Small, senior crews. We shoot for the edit, which means fewer wasted hours on set and less filler in the final cut.
05
Post-production
Edit, grade, sound and graphics, reviewed through a single shared link with time-coded comments instead of email threads.
06
Delivery
Every format you need, named and organised, plus the source project files. Thirty days later we review how it performed.
How we work
Four commitments we will not negotiate on.
Shoot for the edit
We plan every shot against the final cut. It means shorter days, less footage nobody watches, and an edit that starts on time.
One named producer
You get a person, not an inbox. They are on the shoot, in the edit review and on the phone when something changes.
Rights are simple
Full perpetual worldwide usage on final payment. No usage windows, no re-licensing invoices two years later.
Handover, not hostage
Source project files, organised media and licence documentation are handed over at delivery, whether you plan to leave or not.
Next step
Tell us what the film has to achieve.
A 30-minute discovery call, then a fixed-price proposal within three working days. No pitch theatre, no retainer lock-in.
